Abstract

This paper explores a multi-item production inventory model with remanufacturing of defective items. The cost parameters are represented by Hexagonal Fuzzy Number. The classical production inventory model assumes that all the items produced are of perfect quality. However, in reality, controllable percentage of defective items are found. For economic and environmental reasons, defective items are reworked to become serviceable again. Expected minimum total cost is derived. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the model.
